Auction

Each year the Alameda Foundation presents an auction to benefit staff funding at Alameda. Parents, staff, community members and local businesses donate goods and services to make the event a success. Parents donate hundreds of hours to plan the event. Our generous sponsors donate thousands of dollars to underwrite the evening.

Auction proceeds go to the Portland Schools Foundation, which channels one-third into an equity fund established to award grants to PPS schools seeking to close the achievement gap. Recipients include Beaumont Middle School and Grant High School. The remaining two-thirds are used to supplement Alameda's staff positions, per the discretion of Alameda's principal.

Last year’s auction Wild Wild West raised $130,000, enabling Alameda to add a fifth section in the 2nd grade. Previous auctions supplemented Alameda’s staff budget, preserving programs such as physical education, library, music, and reading support.
